![]() ![]() ![]() These can be found on any laptop from any brand.Īsus is good for gaming laptops, whereas Acer makes some ultra-thin laptops that are quite functional and handy in the reasonably priced laptops category. Not all of them will influence a buyer’s decision, as more weight is placed on specifications. ![]() There are notable differences between the two brands. They are both some of the best-rated laptop brands and have maintained that reputation for a long time. Try an HP Omen, or any ASUS laptop with similar specs, try anything but ACER they are garbage now.Looking at Acer and Asus. I wish I had gotten an Alienware instead of this junk. It broke on me 2 maybe 3 times in the first 2 months I had it and the support is not existent. It is terrible for travel and its a brick. The only positive is it plays most games but only for short spurts of time like 30 minutes to an hour then it starts stuttering and slowing down due to how hot it gets. The touchpad is worse than budget 300 dollar HP models from 10 years ago. It overheats the build quality is terrible. After playing for 5 minutes within a matter of seconds it went from luke warm to holy shit it just burned my skin. Try any brand just avoid Acer for gaming or anything serious. It is by far the worst laptop I have ever owned. But the main issue I had was how hot it gets. The monitor cable was shredded and I had no idea how anyone could be ok sending something like that out. The battery connectors where bad there was arching and the battery have various cuts and it was exposed. My kids laptop sadly was not so lucky it had half assed installed connectors and arching in various parts of the motherboard. I had to fix it myself several connections where canted and not fully installed. I asked for a refund after My Predator broke in less than a week. And a Predator Helios 300 I had to fix myself. I had 2 Acer's including a Nitro for one of my older boys that broke in a month. Long story short you might save a little but what you get back is a lot of compromises. If you will be gaming, what are the most demanding games you will play and at what settings?
